These terms apply to the website of abstractpaintings.hu and to the sale of original abstract paintings arranged through it. By using this website or contacting us to purchase a work, you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
About us
abstractpaintings.hu is a Budapest-based abstract art business operating since 2011, a painting webshop and contemporary gallery devoted entirely to original abstract paintings. Ordering and the demonstration cart
The cart and checkout shown on this website are a demonstration and do not process payments. No contract of sale is formed by adding a painting to the cart. A sale is agreed only after you contact us directly and we confirm availability, price and delivery in writing. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order before that confirmation.
Originals, descriptions and images
Every painting we sell is an original, one-of-a-kind work. We describe each piece as accurately as possible, including its dimensions, medium and finish, and supply a certificate of authenticity. Because our works are photographed as faithfully as we can manage, slight variation between a screen and the physical canvas is normal and is not a defect.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euro and reflect the individual work. They exclude shipping, which we quote separately by destination. Payment terms are agreed directly with you before dispatch. We do not store card details on this website.
Delivery
We ship worldwide from Budapest, packed to gallery standard and sent tracked and insured. Delivery times depend on the destination and the size of the work and are confirmed before dispatch. Risk passes to you on delivery.
Returns
If a work arrives damaged, contact us within fourteen days with photographs and we will agree a remedy, which may be repair, replacement where possible or a refund. Commissioned and made-to-order pieces are prepared specifically for you and may not be returnable except where they arrive damaged or not as described.
Intellectual property
Copyright in each painting and in the images and text on this website remains with the artist or with abstractpaintings.hu. Buying a painting transfers ownership of the physical work, not its copyright, and does not grant the right to reproduce it commercially.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our liability in connection with a purchase is limited to the price paid for the work concerned.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Hungarian law, and the courts of Hungary have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here at the time you contact us to buy is the version that applies to that purchase.
